Well it's not like I have completely forgotten this thing existed, it's just that I haven't had any bloggable moments that fit in our room mate/ living situation theme. Or any exciting things to share with the world in general. But I guess I have some time today for general life updates.
Firstly, like Kat for lent, I have quit Facebook. Last week on my day off I was working on a job application and I would get bored and just go to Facebook to see what was new on there. Of course nothings new though, its only been 15 minutes since I was last on. But alas there I am clicking around looking at people's lives instead of applying for jobs and getting on with my own. So I decided (well I've known for a while I didn't just decide this) that it is pathetic that I can't get through a job application/ cover letter/ resume without looking at Facebook multiple times. I also just spend too much time on there in general. And for a couple other personal reasons I don't really want to admit to the world, I deactivated my account for a while. When I did it I told myself one month. I'll be really proud if I make it 2 weeks, but still happy with myself if I make it a week! And hey now I'm taking time to blog when I probably would have otherwise been on FB!
Next, as you can see above I'm still on the job hunt. It sucks going to school for something then deciding you no longer desire to do that. However, I am starting in a new department at Menards tomorrow. After four tiring years in the receiving department I have decided enough is enough and I'm moving to the Building Materials department. I'm pretty excited to have a change in my life and learn something new, even though it means a 50 cent pay cut, since I won't get paid to drive a forklift any more. But I plan to work more hours and I can also earn spifs for selling things. Everyone at work tells me "ya know, you have to wear a collared shirt and look professional" (in receiving we can wear Menards T-Shirts and that's about all I've worn in the last 2 or 3 months). Uh yeah people, I know! I think they are unaware that underneath the baggy blue t-shirts and ratty jeans, beyond all the sweat and dirt, is a girl, one who used to dress professionally to teach everyday! I'm actually quite excited about that part. I can wear nicer clothes because I won't be getting filthy everyday and won't be sweating as much (hopefully), I can wear a regular bra instead of sports bra, and I may even wear my hair down once in a while. In four years in Receiving I wore my hair down for an entire shift once, its safe to say I got paid to do a whole lot of nothing that day. Sure, I'll miss some things and may a few people in receiving, but I definitely won't miss other people or parts of the job. I'm certainly ready for something new, and since nothing outside of Menards is working out, hopefully this will, at least for a while.
Now I would just like to vent for a bit about today's adventure...Shopping for jeans.
I'll start by saying GRRR! To start off with, I'm very picky about jeans. I don't like stupid super faded jeans, a little fade I can deal with (mainly cause you have to these days), and I absolutely don't do holey jeans, I'm pretty good at wearing holes into my jeans all on my own, why the F would I buy them that way? Also jeans are all so dang dark! What's so wrong with just a medium blue color? And I really like light colored jeans. Light colored jeans are apparently impossible to find for under $70 and guess who doesn't have 70 bucks for one pair of jeans, This Girl! Then there's skinny jeans (which I'm sorry to any skinny jean fans but they are stupid, ugly, and don't look good on anyone), straight leg (mom jeans), flare, and boot cut (what I'm looking for). And what ever happened to making jeans out of denim. REAL STURDY DENIM, ya know the kind where you can actually see and feel the grain, not this stretchy painted blue crap that I could rip with my bare hands, I want jeans that are going to last me a while.
So firstly, I have to find jeans in my price range, in a style that I like. A task in itself. Then by the time I find some I'm willing to try on, I'm picking out all the wrong sizes cause evidently I've lost some weight since I last went shopping for jeans (I don't even know how many years), and every brand is different, and I'm looking in both junior sizes (which are generally odd) and misses (even), and so it's all just very confusing. Plus I'm short, so it's nice when brands have short, medium/average, and long options, but not everyone does, or if they do, they are out of short. Then I liked a pair but they didn't have my size on the shelf, luckily the manican was wearing them, except for I probably needed the short version and ended up with average, but I think they'll be okay once I have shoes on or I'll just chop them off. And I found another pair that I really liked, not too dark or overly faded. Well I ended up spending a bit more than I wanted, but I must have been in and out of at least 25 pairs of jeans at 6 different stores today and I was getting frustrated and hungry so I'm just happy I finally found some.
Also, I just want to share a blog site that I have been enjoying lately thoughtcatalog.com it's a site with a buch of different people blogging. So for any of you out there that just enjoy reading blogs, there are some pretty funny ones, and some more serious but still good reads. Kat, I think you may personally enjoy this one A Tour of Sex Questions on OKCupid
Well I guess that's all I have to share today. From what I understand Kat has a new place and new roomie again, maybe she has roomie stories she should be sharing with us...or perhaps we need to find another challenge like the A-Z one we did.

.....And I Have Neighbors, Among Other Issues
I realize that my blogging tends to sound a little on the glass half empty side. All I can say is that I'm trying to not be such a negative person. You know, enjoy the sunrise (which I did this morning) and stop to smell the flowers (before they freeze to death). Like I said, I'm a work in progress. All joking aside life is going pretty well. I'm content with where I am in life right now. I'm thankful for my faith, family, friends and job. Really that's quite a lot to be thankful for. I just don't think many people would enjoy my rants about the rays of sunshine in life or the furry kittens of the world. Kittens....I'll leave that for another day at Dunn Bros Coffee (where I enjoy their free wifi with coffee).
Now, let's move onto my recent living alone stories and adventures.
First, I live in a decent size apartment complex. There are 24 large units in my building with multiple complexes on the block. Most of the time I'm fortunate enough to live in a world where I feel as if I don't have any neighbors. I hardly hear a peep from them, until last night that is. It's around 10:15pm and I'm really hoping to pass out at any moment. I've been really tired lately. Out of nowhere I hear giggles from a highly pitched annoying sounding female. Then from what I can assume to be her boyfriend starts laughing too. I'm not so cynical where I find this impossible to tolerate. The tickle-me-Elmo fest continued for only a few moments. I then hear her say in her still annoying but now sounding like a baby voice, "Nooooo, this is my bed. My bed. My bed." *giggle giggle* Whatever, they shut up. If my two required years in the dorms taught me anything it's that when you suspect "coitous" (thanks for my education The Big Bang Theory) you're probably going to have to put up with the ruckus. I don't want to be too crude here. We are all adults, hopefully. Well, let's just say that by the end of their horizontal jogging I lost sleep, realized I would have something to blog about and suddenly had the urge to pound a nail into the wall at 6:30am when I would wake up. I'm sure I could find something to hang....
No, in case you're wondering I wasn't that rude even though they were. I did the mature thing - I sang a top 40 medley this morning in the shower.
Last story for the day. In order to get our security deposit back we had to mail in the receipt for our last months utility bill. Joy had lingering bills as well that were partly mine. She sent me a total and I wrote her a check. I intended to send it today after work. Traffic was good and I arrived at the post office at 5:35. What kind of post office closes at 5:30?? Ugh. I continue on my way to the next post office downtown. I knew it would be a hassle, but it was a bigger hassle than I expected. I couldn't find a place to park. Sorry Joy. I'll try and send your check tomorrow!

Welcome to Minneapolis
For those of you who aren't aware I've been living in Minneapolis now for a first week and half. It's been an adventure so far to say the least. In this short time I've already met many new and wonderful people, started attending a great church, and have been trying extra hard to learn street names (refer to previous posts on my need to learn direction). Here's a simple breakdown of the past 11 days of my life.
1) People: It's been hard adjusting to life in the big city. I'm grateful for all of the new people I've met and truely hope to develop all of the relationships I've made so far. Everyone has been a blessing despite the curves life continues to throw my direction.
2) Places: There are an overwhelming amount of beautiful places to see. There's always something to do here and for my reforming hermit self, this is a good thing.
3) Apartment Life: From the get go moving into my apartment was a hassle. Prepare for some complaining. Moving over Labor Day weekend is probably the worst weekend to move. When you are finally able to locate that checkin list burried underneath boxes and piles of stuff, you'll probably learn the office is closed. You'll be left with no working stove, a clogged bathroom sink, no smoke detector (but hey you don't have a stove. You're in the clear), and bedroom blinds that don't work. All of this is quite an overwhelming feeling. Especially considering I picked a 3rd story apartment because I ran out of energy to keep looking. However, I'm thankful I have a relatively nice and roomie place to live. It's comfortable and safe. Now, I just have to adjust to hearing noises all night. Maybe after a month I'll be able to sleep through the night? Lord willing...
4) Work: Work is going well. Having a 40 hour a week working lifestyle also takes some getting used to. I'm very thankful for having a decent paying job as a recent graduate. But I know it's not something I want to do with my life forever.
In a nutshell life is goodish. The journey has been and always will be filled with ups and downs. Each experience is shaping the person I'm becoming through the good and the bad. I try my best to remain strong and trust that God has a plan for me. There's no need to race through it or push our circumstances. Instead, I prefer to enjoy the crazy rollercoaster day by day.

Don't Worry we Survived Moving
We are moved out and on our own! Now that we are no longer roomies, I guess we'll just have to share our independent living adventures.
Yeah, it's been a while. But really I had nothing new to share. My life basically consisted of working and job hunting. For the last week it has been work, moving, and sleeping. The move only took me about 7 trips in my station wagon in two days (I could have done it in one but I also had plans to go to the State Fair). I finally was able to get some major unpacking done the last two days (after only living here 4 days). My place is finally coming together but I still have plenty of work to do. It sure was nice when I just went away for a weekend last time and came back to the whole place set up. Where is Kat when I need her?
I finally got my internet set up this morning. Stupid Comcast. I called to have everything transferred and they told me I would just need to bring the equipment with me and set it up and they would be able to just turn it on from outside. Well they were wrong when I finally set it up Tuesday evening it didn't work. So they had to send someone out this morning.
My new place is pretty nice. I could use more storage, like a coat closet maybe, but otherwise it is suiting me just fine. The key to my apartment is a little tricky though. I struggle with normally, so I was a little weary of how it would go after being downtown. Well Monday night I went out and came back and unlocked the door on the first try, no struggle at all. But just about every time since then I struggle. And last night I'm pretty sure I heard someone snoring, talk about thin walls! But really that's it, no more complaints, it's a nice apartment.
Side story: Last week my friend Tiffany and I went to the Minnesota state fair after a long hard day of moving. We decided to sit down for some ice cream and people watching. While we were sitting there Tiffany spots a little girl (I'd guess about 3) and says I hope she is wearing something under her shirt or dress whichever that is. It was short for a dress but a long shirt. So I'm watching this little girl (and yes she had shorts on) and see she is holding herself so I says to Tiffany, "she needs to pee" and Tiffany looks and says "oh yeah she does, she's gunna end up going right there" about 4-5 minutes later we look over to see a puddle under her and her mom trying to clean off her shoe. Poor little girl. Moral of the story parents: pay attention when your child needs to pee.
Otherwise no real exciting stories to share. I'll try to lead a more exciting life so I have more to share.

Harry Potter and River Adventures
Well, it certainly has been a while since I've written on here. My life has mostly been consumed with working and in my spare time I have been rereading the Harry Potter series so as to prepare for the final movie coming out in 22 short days! I am uber excited, I hope it is as good as part one was. Last night I finished book five (possibly my favorite book, or maybe seven is) so I only have one and a half to go. I'm only reading to where the first movie left off in the seventh book because I found out that if the book is fresh in my mind it makes the movie less enjoyable (or maybe that was because the sixth movie just wasn't done very well). So 22 days and 52 chapters to go! Plus I'll prolly try to find time to watch the movies too, just maybe not the first three, they get boring after seeing them too much.
Other than that I went for a walk on my day off Monday and decided to venture down by the river in the park. Well I kind of always wanted to venture beyond the first little water fall that I normally visited last summer when my dog lived with me. I took my opportunity to walk further up the river beyond it. I came to another water fall and decided to climb it and continue my river walk. So I climbed up this 5 foot water fall (cell phone in hand, I guess I was feeling pretty gutsy) well once on top I knew there would be no turning back as I didn't think I could climb back down. So I walked up the river to campus until there was a nice clearing by the path just behind campus. It was a nice little afternoon adventure.
Other than that there isn't much to report. The job search has slowed some, I should really put down the books a little more and look harder, but I can't help but get caught up in my reading.

There you have my adventures from the day. I hope you enjoyed them!
B could also stand for.....boob punch! This is in honor of Joy and our times together. Her sisters will also appreciate that this tradition lives on. For those of you who aren't of aware of what this means, it's basically when you're with your girl friend and you're supposed to say boob punch because you joking (but actually) punch them a little in the boob. I however, am very bad at saying this before I punch Joy's boob. I think she's just accepted that I will never do this technique properly.

What To Do On A Sunday Night?
Last Sunday was mostly like another other. Joy and I played some Wii, I complained I was bored, Joy told me to stop complaining. Like I said, the usual. Except it was the start of spring break for me so no classes this week. Since Joy picked the Wii game we were going to play apparently it was up to me to decide our next activity. I said we should flip a coin and started rattling out our options: 1) Play Wii (Mario), 2) Play Board Games, 3) Watch Movies, 4) Go Out, 5) Joy Meets a Boy, and 6) Roll Again. Clearly, there were too many options for coin. Joy said, "Hey, don't you have dice on your phone?" Sure enough I do. No, I didn't buy it. For some odd reason it came on my phone. Joy goes into the bathroom and of course I don't leave her in peace. From outside the door I ask her if she wants the green dice or the orange one. We decide to use both and have a top two kind of strategy. Well, fun for me was that "Joy Meets a Boy" won. So, technically going out was on there twice. Joy swears I must have wanted to go out, but I don't know. It really doesn't take much convincing her anyway. We shook the dice to decide our first bar too and we were out the door and on our way.
We head to Bo's for a couple of drinks. We mainly sat there playing trivia and people watching like creepers. But really, what else is there to do at the bars on a Sunday night during spring break? I pretty much dominated Joy at trivia we got bored and left for Mel's. We only had one there, partially because we were the only two people there besides for the bartender and the regular who practically lives there. We moved on passed several bars because peeking inside there was no one there or much older people. We heard music coming from Shooter's so we headed there. There were a few people so we sat down and had a drink. I should mention there was this special kinda creeper at Bo's who hits on everyone. He happened to show up later but we'll get to that part of the adventure shortly. It was getting late and we were slightly bored. Shooter (the owner) told us to play some music. Joy said, "Well, unless you want to buy us another drink we were gonna bounce." So, he bought us another drink and gave us money to play some songs on the Juke Box. Score. It took us quite a while to pick songs, the creeper showed up, and Shooter left. Oh well. We were enjoying our drinks and chatting when the bartender poured us some shots. I immediately knew what it was - Goldschlager. Yuck! Whatever, it's a free drink. Some obviously wasted woman sat next to me. Thank God she had enough brain cells left to have water. It was especially annoying because she kept leaning towards us trying to hear out conversation and kept laughing at what we were talking about. Ohh, drunk people. Creeper showed up again and after saying Joy needed another drink he bought us more of the good (awful) stuff. I didn't want it so we shared it. Creeper was wasted and obnoxious. We got rid of him fast. As if Joy telling him several times that this was an A and B conversation and C needed to butt out wasn't enough for him to get the picture. It was still a fun night of roommate mayhem out on the town. Good times!

Since Joy Isn't Saying Anything....
It seems like only yesterday that Joy and I moved into our place. We were barely settled in when cops came pounding on our door, or when Thanksgiving morning we received a turkey dinner and all the trimmings on our door step. I thought things were finally starting to slow down. Guess again. Last week I was in the kitchen when I see a car pull in our driveway. He rings the doorbell and asks for Melissa (one of our many former tenants). I told him that she no longer lived here. That should have been enough, but no. He wanted to know how long she'd been gone. I wanted to say, geez she stopped sending me letters ages ago. Really? We moved in here at the end of August so she's long gone. No, I don't know where she moved. He politely thanked me and left....so I thought. About 10 seconds later the doorbell rings again. Now he wants to know if she has a husband. Oh, his name is Paul, I was maid of honor in their wedding. Just kidding!! I didn't say all that, but it was tempting I'm not going to lie.

I'm a Hazard to Myself
I ordinarily think of myself as being put together and organized. Lately I feel like a scatter brain at times. I'm not sure if I'm still trying to adjust to being back to juggling classes, work, and a social life, or maybe I have a major case of senioritis. No matter what my deal is I'm afraid for Joy's sake that one day she'll come home and something catastrophic happened. Let me explain.
One day I had a little pot of water on one burner and a frying pan sitting on the one behind it. I wanted to heat up the water for tea or something before I had to leave for class or work. So, I crank up the burner with the water on it (or so I thought) and went into the bathroom. I hear Joy come up from the basement and say, "Oh, Katrin...." I scorched a frying pan instead of heating up my water. Who doesn't turn on the wrong burner sometimes though, right?
Then, there are the times where I just take a risk while trying to accomplish an ordinary task. This weekend I cleaned, no scrubbed the bathroom clean. This is how adventurous I am on the weekends. Well, our shower has those sliding doors with the metal tracks to keep the doors in place. I just cleaned the tub so it was all wet. I look up and notice the mold forming on the edges of the ceiling. That has got to go. So, naturally I step on the wet metal track barefoot and all while I reach on my tippy-toes trying to get the mold with a sponge. I could have potentially fallen and seriously injured myself, but it was a success. No harm no foul - this time.
Now, to make matters worse I like to burn candles in my room. It smells really nice and helps relax me. I had one sitting on my night table on the other side of my bed, but I figured at the rate I was going it wasn't the wisest choice to have an open flame next to my flammable bedding. Now it sits on top of my TV. The candle was getting really low and I thought I would just let it burn out until I went to sleep. Pretty much the thought of me blowing it out ended as I passed out watching the TV. Yup, I woke up in the morning and realized I fell asleep with the candle burning. Good news was I used up the candle and the house was still intact.
Poor Joy. I'm wondering if she falls asleep at night wondering what catastrophe I might cause during the night. Or maybe she just wakes up feeling grateful to be alive. Yeah, that's it....I bring out the best in people!

Camping in the Living Room
Happy Birthday Kat!!
Friday evening, Kat was laying on the floor in the living room and she says "I think I might just live on the living room floor this weekend." So I'm like ok, whatever. And then somehow the idea of making tents out of blankets came up and Kat got all excited about the idea and asked if I would do it with her for her birthday this weekend. Which of course I was excited about and said HECK YES! She had to ask like three times and make sure I wasn't being fake excited and mocking her. Of course I wasn't I really wanted to. (Rachel (my former roomie) and I were supposed to do that together because we once started a list of "100 ways to make love without doing it" (no, we aren't like that, we just did it for for and cause we had already done a bunch of things when we first found the list) and one of things was to recreate childhood memories and that's the memory I wanted to recreate. But we never did get around to it. Yet.)

| Kat checking out the inside of the new tent |
Well, anyway Friday night after I got home from work Kat and I made a tent in the living room and slept on the floor. But it was too hard and uncomfortable for me so I got up at about 5 am and went to my bed.
So Saturday night, we built the tent over the click clack (futon) and slept on that.

We also roasted mini marshmallows over a pumpkin pie candle. It was pretty awesome.
You can pretend to not be jealous but we know you are. Don't even pretend you didn't make tents/forts out of blankets as a child!

George (pronounced in fancy Spanish)
First, let me explain our name - Flutter Friends. Joy and I have been playing Mario Party 8 on the Wii and we always pick the same characters of Yoshi and Toadette. The computer assigns us the team name of Flutter Friends everytime so we ran with it. And that's the story.
Life with Joy in our happy duplex has been going well. We get along great partially because we both go to bed early like grannies, like the same music, love the Wii, and we go way back so of course we love each other (again, not in a lover kind of way). We haven't even been here a month but it feels like longer. We found the place and moved in all within a few days and it's felt like home ever since. We've both been so busy with school that we really haven't had any parties or get togethers yet. However that doesn't mean we haven't had some excitement.
Since no one is really reading this and therefore haven't seen our house I'll give you a brief layout. It's a side by side duplex in a residential neighborhood. Upstairs we have our kitchen, living room, bathroom and two bedrooms. In the basement we have our office, laundry room, and recreation room. We are both thrilled to finally have a washer and dryer even though they are from the mid 1980s. But hey, college kids can't be picky. Joy had the honors of christening the washing machine. I believe she washed just a pillow and a light blanket (yes, this is relevant). We were upstairs in our rooms unpacking and what-not and out of no where it sounded like a tone deaf marching band was practicing in our basement! Joy was all, whatever I'll let Kat check it out. She's great at doing work for me. So naturally I went down to check out what could possibly be wrong. Sure enough our washing machine decided it didn't like being against the wall and moved a good five feet towards the middle of the room. It must just really hate Joy because it hasn't done that for me (or it's not good with bulky items). Evil machine.
Ready for story number two? You see all of these signs in stores for safety recalls on various products. I understand a lot of the toy ones and some don't make sense, like sink stoppers. If you want to talk about a well deserved safety recall then look no further than our closet doors. We dont' have legitimate doors. We have those sliding ones that fall off their tracks. I thought it was just another one of Joy's problems dealing with everyday objects but no, these doors are awful. A couple days ago I was simply trying to shut (slide?) the doors in place and BAM. The one door fell of it's track. I pulled on it and it fells and cut into the top of my foot badly enough where I'm going to have a scar. So I attempted to fit it back on its tracks and I was halfway there. Out of frustration I kicked the bottom of the door back into place. It worked because the door got back on track but then my kicking the door knocked the door behind it out of place. Long story short after fitting into my closet with all the clothes I was able to get both doors back on track and functioning properly. Well, until just a few minutes ago when I shut the door and it fell off AGAIN! Atleast I'll have something to do tomorrow.
Now to my title story. Last Thursday night Joy and I stayed up way past our bedtime (around 10:30). I was half asleep when I hear a pounding noise on our door or the neighbors'. I creep out into the hallway and peek out into the living room. I see two people walking around our yard. I said, "Joy, there are people in our yard." She said, "Maybe they'll go away." They didn't. They started shining lights into our living room and knocking on the door again. At this point I demand Joy to come out with me. Like a good roommate she complies. They finally ring the doorbell and we turn on the lights and open the door. Odly enough there are two police officers standing there. They ask for George (pronounced in fancy Spanish). I guess I didn't make much sense because I was like "yeah, no he doesn't live here." "Can we talk to him?" "Yeah..." as I step out the door. I thought he asked if he could talk to us apparently and I was thinking to myself, well sure since you got me out of bed at 11pm. Basically they were looking for George because they had a warrant out for him. We told the officers we just moved in and we've been forwarding their mail and we could give them our landlord's number. They told us that was okay and they would make a note so no one would come and bother us again. Good times.
In recent news we got our "new" refridgerator. Our old one was loud but not bad, that is until it started leaking. Our landlord told us there was an extra that was decent, much quieter and a bit bigger. He must have been mistaken because instead we get one that is smaller, possibly older but thankfully it actually is quiet. Still, I hate the thing. There are no shelves in the freezer, no drawers in the fridge, the seal is old and sticks open, and there just isn't enough room. However, the bright side is that it's quiet. The old one sounded like the A/C was running. Don't get me started about that...
Hopefully I won't have any more complaints/adventures anytime soon. I'm sure Joy will have plenty of excitement tomorrow.

The Beginning
This summer Kat tells me that she may be coming back to River Falls this semester. It was a big secret and I wasn't allowed to tell anyone, which was a little tough, but I didn't squeal. So then she was back and forth and all wishy washy so I says well if you want we could live together if you came back. Thats when the fun began.
We started apartment hunting. Kat did all the work I just went along with things. She went through all the hard work of looking for places and calling the crazy people. One day she comes up to look at apartments in the morning (since I had to work in the afternoon).
First stop Lake Geoge Place (we were really skeptical about this "lake" cause we didn't know the swampy backwaters were a lake). This guy told Kat that he just leaves the open apartment unlocked for people to go look at them. We didn't find the unlocked one, but did do some window peeking, they looked decent from what we could see.
We moved on to check out other places just from the outside while we waited for our appointment times. One got scratched right away cause Kat thought it was far too "ghettofabulous" for us, I think is how she put it. The next looked decent so we decided to continue our pursuits with it.
Then we went back to Lake George and actually bumped into the landlord so we went and took a look around in the apartment: way too small we moved on...
Our first appointment. Rule number one of apartment hunting: WEAR YOUR BEST RUNNING SHOES! We go to this place that we were already told we need to have an open mind about it because the husband doesn't even want to show it in the condition it is in. When we arrive this guy is all mad about this car in the way and asks if its ours, and we're like no, we don't live here. Well he knew it wasn't someone who lived there. He was just plain rude. We went and just waited at the end of the drive and then I'm like what if thats the guy? Well sure shit, it was. So then he realized why we were there and started being polite to us.
~I should have mentioned we are in a major time crunch, we needed a place to move into by the next week~
The lady Kat talked to said she could definitely get us in but this guys starts telling us no, no, no she doesn't know anything, no way that can happen. Then he got distracted by a phone call and I turned to Kat and said lets RUN! He came back and asked if we still wanted to see it and we were like um no and left. Quickly.
Then Kat was calling this other guy trying to get us a showing but we coudn't see it cause there was someone sloppy living there and he didn't know for sure if they were leaving. Well he wanted to "interview" us before we could move in anyway so we could at least do that today. So we went out to meet him.
Now when I hear pre-rental interview I think a guy with some questions written down, taking down notes. This guy just wanted to get to know us, just sat down with us in his living room in his lovely home and asked us personal questions about ourselves (not too personal but still it seemed a tad strange) one of his questions was "do you girls like to party?" (he had previously asked Kat this on the phone and I said "does he want us to be?") so Kat actually says to this sweet old guy "Do you want us to be?" He was a really sweet old guy and wanted to work things out for us but the problem was, his heart was too big and he couldn't kick the other person out, so that place didn't work out.
We did find a nice duplex to live in, but there were no real funny stories about finding it. Just many since we moved in. But I'll save those for another night and for Kat to tell since it is past my bedtime. (yes 9:02 is past my bed time, don't act like you're not impressed!)
Ta ta for now,
Joy
